Visalia - Batth Ranch Part II
Looking through the grape arbor.
The Batth family is a big fruit dehydrator in the valley. This is a massive operation. They produce a lot of the dried fruit for Trader Joes.
OK, so you have to live somewhere. This is the backyard view of their 12,000 sf home. Actually 3.5 families live here. Each has their separate living quarters and they are lovely. There are twelve people who live here so that means about 1000sf pp so it's not that large.
A view of the pool and guest house. They also have an outdoor kitchen, bbq kitchen, tennis court, pitch and putt area and basketball court. When you live so far out in the country you need to keep the kids entertained. The family also hosts a lot of events that may have as many as 1,000 people in attendance.
The Batth family was very gracious and generous with their time. Doug and I will never be able to eat a grape or raisin without thinking of the family and the wonderful time we had with them.
